CHRISTINA TILLIA

Being raised on farms in the Southwest taught me hard work, respect and integrity. My interest in health and healing began at an early age, working on classmates and family members in Kindergarten including rubbing shoulders for a quarter and and helping sore family members at brandings. I was sent to Boston at the age 13 to nanny for an injured cousin with 2 small children at home. It was there I had my first encounter with homeopathy and another lifestyle. This turning point inspired me to learn more about healing and the human body through alternative methods. On a late summer afternoon on the farm, the day before leaving for college in Phoenix, my dad and I were feeding cows. In the quiet dusk, he says, "that's fine if you want to do that massage thing, but fix people, huh." Earlier that year he had been pinned between a tractor and a fallen stack of hay, creating more of a thirst for knowledge and life experience to help. Before being accepted in the college Therapeutic Massage Program, a required course involved an overview of  alternative therapies, which included topics like Shiatsu, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Reiki, to name a few. As my professor lectured on Naturopathy, and how it incorporated all other modalities, I knew immediately that this was my chosen path. The moment of enlightenment came as we discussed that Naturopathy treats the mind, the body and the spirit. When the professor spoke of the mind/body/spirit  connection in healing, and how our well-being is created by the harmonic balance of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health; my hand flew up as I asked, " I need this, where can I get this? Does it come in a pill?" My professor understood with this serious question that the concept was completely foreign to me, he replied, "it's not a pill, its a journey." The following years took me several teachers and schools as I began to walk the journey and understand the connection. My intention is to be a one stop fixit shop, as best I can on your path.
The following therapies which I am trained, certified and/or licensed in can be found on my Services and Rates page. Each session incorporates these as needed.
